Il convention
Under the patronage of the Order of Architects of Siena, Edoardo Milesi & Archos and the Permanent School of Living hold a convention with the aim of critically reviewing, through direct testimonies, the main aspects of the debate on architecture that took place between the ’60s and ’90s. A philological reinterpretation in search of the presumed evolution or continuity of the humanistic spirit that should distinguish the profession of architect.
The aim of the convention is not to remember the past of architecture, but to investigate it in a constructive way, so as to learn an objective lesson from it: the investigation starts from Japanese metabolism, moves then on to Florentine radicalism and Milanese experimentation as an alternative to academic training during the “student struggle” of ’67 and ’68, and ends with the environmental movement of the ’80s and ’90s.
