The fundamental objective of the Church of Corpus Christi in San Miniato is to let visitors experience faith also through emotions conveyed by the architecture, starting from the church square in front of the entrance and inside the hall, where a path of faith is marked by a series of liturgical items: the baptismal font, the confessional, the Marian image, the ambon, the altar, the tabernacle and the crucifix.

Beams of light inexorably guide visitors along this ascetic path to the cross, which is also the vanishing point where all lines converge.

The creation of the new liturgical furnishing has been assigned to the sculptor Giancarlo Defendi, while the creation of the two large canvases/sculptures placed on the sides of the presbytery for perspective purposes has been assigned to Gianriccardo Piccoli.
