The need to restore a faded identity. The project starts from the heart of the Community of Paganico, from the historical square, which is no longer considered as the centre of the city, and from the road, which has created work and given importance to the small town for centuries.

A “sensory” redevelopment based on materials with different textures that mark the new organization of urban spaces both visually and acoustically. The street merges with the public square while focussing attention on pedestrians and reducing car traffic.

The square re-establishes the old links between the public buildings, which still stand there, provides wider views and gives back to the small town and its inhabitants a place where relations flourish and grow, reminiscent of the original urban layout but not nostalgic for it.
