Daniel Goleman's theories on emotional intelligence lead us to consider Gandino's renovated day centre for the disabled in a context where architecture actively takes part in the rehabilitation therapy.

The spatial relationship between the different players involved should be considered as a real experience where the strong emotional and affective involvement based on the dynamic relationship between the operator, the disabled person and the experienced environment actively participates in the emotional, affective and cognitive maturation of individuals with its implications and complications.

For this reason, in the first place, we aim to create a space where melancholy and any reference to sadness, pessimism, hypochondria or discontent is banned, where the therapy, any therapy, is went into by playing with joy, happiness and enthusiasm, while keeping in mind that there can be no learning without fun.
