at festival of preggio
preggio (pg)2013
Rossini’s Barber of Seville is a cheerful and sunny opera buffacharacterized by Mediterranean intrigue. I have split Preggio’s stage in two. On the left-hand side are the exteriors, the road below Bartolo’s house, the new square of Seville of 2011 designed by Jurgen Mayer in the background, and the terrace – a wooden grid from where Rosina catches a glimpse of the Count of Almaviva.
